This role involves evolving and maintaining the AWS Cloud Network, collaborating with a passionate team to enhance infrastructure capabilities. Key responsibilities include provisioning VPCs, subnets, Transit gateways, route tables, IPAM, and managing DNS. You'll implement solutions for efficient management of Cloud network resources while following best IT practices.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Tech Leaders, Architects and other Engineers to develop solutions for complex problems in distributed computing and infrastructure management.
- Automate solutions for operational issues, such as monitoring, performance, planning, and disaster response.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support our business-critical infrastructure.
- Ensure high quality implementation by applying Infrastructure as Code industry standards.
- Demonstrate effective communication by authoring and reviewing design documents, runbooks, and other service documentation.
- Apply Agile methodologies to continuously deliver value to customers.
- Act as point of contact for AWS Network components.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in infrastructure/network environment.
- Experience with different architectures and services running on public cloud infrastructure at scale in AWS.
- Networking general knowledge (subnetting, routing).
- Knowledge of networks in cloud environments (preferably AWS services like VPC, subnets, Transit gateway, route table, IPAM, CloudWAN, etc.).
- Proficiency with one or more programming languages: like Python or JavaScript.
- Skills to work independently with multiple global teams.
- Proficient in shell scripting.
