Responsibilities For Staff Software Engineer
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software systems using technologies such as Python, Ruby on Rails, Angular, and JavaScript
- Architect and implement robust APIs, web services, and backend systems
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, other engineering teams, partners on B2B integrations
- Participate in requirements gathering, technical specification, design, and development
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the full software stack
- Ensure best practices in software development, including continuous integration, testing, and code quality
Requirements For Staff Software Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years of experience delivering commercial cloud-based software applications
- Experience as a technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle
- Experience in Python, Ruby on Rails with proven track record of building large-scale applications
- Expertise in technologies such as Angular, Node.js, Django, JavaScript
- Extensive experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Experience in cloud-based development using AWS including Lambda applications
- Experience with Message Queuing frameworks such as RabbitMQ and Kafka
- Expert knowledge of REST API development
- Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices
- Working knowledge of Git and familiarity with the Github workflow
- Have familiarity with MES or LIMS systems
- Strong communication skills
