Senior Web Engineer (Front-End) - Geocore / Maps

As a Senior Web Engineer on the Geocore team at Uber, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining a suite of Web tools used by thousands of Engineers, Product Ops, and other employees to visualize and configure Uber's geospatial platform. You'll work with technologies like Javascript, Node.js, React.js, Go, and Java to support Uber's vast geospatial needs across various product lines.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Designing and implementing an enhanced UI for geospatial platform technologies
2. Building web tooling for incident management of critical services
3. Designing reusable UI components
4. Developing capabilities to visualize real-time geospatial events
5. Guiding the team on web practices to modernize the web stack

The ideal candidate should have:

• Experience in multiple programming languages (Javascript, Node.js, React.js, Go, Java)
• Excellent coding skills with a focus on quality and scalability
• Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems
• Strong communication skills
• BS in Computer Science or related field (Masters/Ph.D. preferred)
• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience
