Software Engineer II, iOS - Women's Safety

Uber is seeking a Mid-Level iOS Software Engineer to join their Women's Safety team, focusing on creating innovative solutions to enhance safety features for women using the Uber platform. This role combines mobile development expertise with safety-critical systems, utilizing real-time telematics and machine learning technologies.

The position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on women's safety in transportation, working with Uber's core marketplace technology. You'll be responsible for designing and developing user interfaces and features for iOS applications that directly contribute to preventing unsafe situations and improving the overall safety of the platform.

As part of the team, you'll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product Managers, and other engineers to build and maintain sophisticated mobile applications. The role requires expertise in Swift programming and a strong understanding of distributed systems and scalability engineering.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of software engineering experience or equivalent academic qualifications, with a focus on product engineering and scalability. You'll be working in a hybrid environment, spending at least half of your time in the Sao Paulo office, contributing to Uber's collaborative culture and mission to move the world forward.
