Technical Lead Manager

Uber's Core Platform Foundations team is seeking a Technical Lead Manager to lead the Host Lifecycle team. This role combines both management (70%) and technical leadership (30%) responsibilities, focusing on the infrastructure that supports Uber's virtual computing environments. The position involves leading a team responsible for base host provisioning, zone operations, and strategic projects including multi-zone and disaster recovery operations. Working across global offices in California, Seattle, Denmark, and Amsterdam, you'll manage complex infrastructure projects while developing and mentoring engineering talent. The role requires strong technical expertise in backend systems, distributed computing, and infrastructure management, combined with leadership skills to drive team success and maintain operational excellence.
