Senior Front End Software Engineer

At Udio, our mission is to enable the next generation of music creators with state-of-the-art AI tools. As a frontend engineer, you will help design and build the tools and interfaces that millions of users use to create and share world-class music.

Our founding team is composed of world-leading AI researchers, formerly of Google DeepMind. Between the founders, they have 4 PhDs, degrees from Harvard, Oxford, Mila, and Edinburgh, and industry experience at DeepMind, Google, Nvidia, Dropbox, Yext, and more.

From day one, you will be making fundamental contributions to our growing suite of AI applications. This role requires someone who is comfortable up and down the web and/or mobile development stack, and is equally happy writing code and architecting software apps. You will work alongside our team of AI researchers, engineers, and designers who have built an engineering culture of fun, excellence and creativity.

Core Technical Competencies:

• Industry experience building full-stack web and/or mobile applications, especially consumer apps
• Strong ability to create modern, performant, scalable web/mobile apps from scratch
• Implementing best practices for deploying production systems on AWS, GCP, or other cloud providers
• Extensive experience with modern JavaScript/Typescript libraries, tooling, and frameworks (e.g. React, React Native, Next.js)
• Fluency in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
• Experience mentoring and managing junior engineers (for a senior level role)
