Description For Security Engineer

UltraViolet Cyber is seeking a Security Engineer to join their team in a role that combines cutting-edge cybersecurity operations with federal service. As a leading platform-enabled unified security operations company, we provide comprehensive security solutions to Fortune 500, Federal Government, and Commercial clients. The role involves working in our Security Operations Center (SOC), where you'll be responsible for engineering support and improving client cybersecurity posture.

The position requires strong expertise in security-focused IT engineering, with hands-on experience in managing network security devices and technologies. You'll work with various security tools and technologies, including firewalls, IDS sensors, and SIEM systems. The role offers an opportunity to work with advanced security operations solutions while supporting a large DHS agency.

As our Security Engineer, you'll be instrumental in designing, configuring, and implementing event collection solutions, while also managing automation processes for server and device operations.   • Provide Security Operations Center (SOC) engineering support

  • Provide operations and maintenance for hardware
  • Support the full engineering life cycle of systems

Requirements For Security Engineer

Linux
  • US Citizenship required
  • Active Top Secret clearance required
  • At least 3 years of security focused IT engineering experience
  • 3 years experience with network security devices and technologies
  • Thorough understanding of Linux-based systems
  • Microsoft, Linux or Cisco certification required
  • High school diploma needed
  • Must be legally allowed to work in the US
