UltraViolet Cyber is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their team in a predominantly remote role with occasional travel to Utah. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a leading cybersecurity company that provides comprehensive security operations solutions to Fortune 500, Federal Government, and Commercial clients.
The role involves being embedded in an enterprise Security Engineering team for a leading SaaS provider, primarily working in an AWS cloud environment. The position focuses heavily on data curation through Cribl, where you'll have the opportunity to become the team's subject matter expert. You'll be responsible for supporting major customer infrastructure and automation environments, with emphasis on collection, curation, and delivery processes.
As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll work with cutting-edge technologies including AWS, Azure, Terraform, and Splunk, while utilizing Python and bash scripting to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency. The role requires collaboration with engineering and operations teams to drive positive outcomes for business partners.

Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer
- Experience leveraging Cribl for data curation
- Review security logs and audit logging
- Work with Jenkins and CI/CD automation platforms
- Utilize Python and bash scripting to automate tasks
- Manage and optimize infrastructure in AWS and Azure
- Implement data collection, curation, and delivery processes
- Configure and utilize Splunk for log management and monitoring
- Support solutions on cloud platforms like AWS and GCP
Requirements For Senior Security Engineer
- Experience or desire to learn Cribl
- Experience working with Security Engineering and/or SOC teams
- Experience with Terraform to deploy Infrastructure as Code
- Five or more years of solution design and deployment work in SaaS/DevOps/Cloud environment
- Hands-on experience with building infrastructure using CloudFormation and/or Terraform
- Experience with Splunk for log management and monitoring
- Development experience in Python and bash scripting
- Must be legally allowed to work in the US
