Unchained Labs is revolutionizing laboratory research by providing cutting-edge automation workflow solutions. We're seeking a Switzerland-based Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on installing, maintaining, and supporting sophisticated laboratory automation systems including Big Kahuna, Junior, Big Tuna, and integrated third-party equipment.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with extensive experience in complex robotic systems, combining technical expertise with strong customer service abilities. You'll be responsible for ensuring smooth installation and operation of our systems, providing both on-site and remote support, and building strong relationships with customers.

The position requires up to 50% travel, primarily within the EU, with occasional trips to the UK and North America.

Responsibilities For Field Service Engineer

  • Be a key player on cross-functional teams that build, test, deliver, and support customized automated workflows solutions
  • Coordinate with customers to ensure their facilities meet system installation requirements
  • Install and commission workflow automation solutions at customer sites
  • Provide remote troubleshooting assistance to customers
  • Travel to customer sites to perform preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Log service cases and detailed reports in Salesforce CRM
  • Prioritize customer caseload and plan schedule, travel, and materials
  • Be a customer advocate and provide feedback for improvement

Requirements For Field Service Engineer

  • Bachelors degree or higher in a STEM field or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years experience providing field customer support for complex robotic equipment
  • Strong operator and troubleshooting skills for elctro-opto-mechanical systems
  • Curious about customer applications and able to understand technical challenges
  • Strong written and verbal communicator
  • Self-driven and thrive in an environment of high-performance expectations
  • Willing to travel up to 50% within EU, UK, and USA/Canada
  • Must be located in Switzerland
