Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) is seeking a Pile Driving Analyzer (PDA) Engineer to join their Deep Foundations department in Jacksonville, FL. Responsibilities For Pile Driving Analyzer (PDA) Engineer

  • Performs dynamic load tests or PDA on concrete or steel piles
  • Monitors shaft integrity, driving stresses, and hammer energy in the field
  • Connects strains transducers and accelerometers to pilings
  • Performs analyses to determine soil parameters using signal matching software
  • Provides lateral earth pressure design parameters
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Attends project meetings with clients
  • Completes daily time and labor reports
  • Follows company safety procedures and policies

Requirements For Pile Driving Analyzer (PDA) Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical, mechanical, geology, or similar
  • Valid Florida Driver's License with acceptable driving record
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Slope/W, Seep/W, Allpile WEAP, and Finite Element Method
  • Ability to pass background check screening
  • Mathematical skills for calculations and measurements
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to work in various outdoor conditions
