Description For Mechanical Engineer COOP training

Uvera is seeking a passionate Mechanical Engineer COOP to join their team for a 6-month training program at KAUST Research and Technology Park. This role focuses on contributing to cutting-edge mechanical solutions and innovative hardware products. The position involves working with cross-functional teams on mechanical design, development, and optimization. The work schedule is 8 hours per day, 6 days per week, with daily shuttle service available between Jeddah and KAUST. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, from concept development to production, utilizing various CAD software and engineering tools. The role provides excellent exposure to product development, prototyping, and manufacturing processes, making it an ideal opportunity for those looking to kick-start their career in mechanical engineering. Responsibilities For Mechanical Engineer COOP training

  • Participate in the mechanical design process from concept to production, utilizing CAD software and other engineering tools to create detailed drawings and specifications
  • Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to evaluate design concepts and identify potential improvements or optimizations
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers, firmware developers, and product designers to integrate mechanical components into overall product architecture
  • Develop and implement mechanical methods and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Perform mechanical analysis, including stress analysis, thermal analysis, and tolerance analysis
  • Generate prototypes and conduct thorough testing and validation to verify design performance
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of the production process, including troubleshooting
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability

Requirements For Mechanical Engineer COOP training

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, NX siemens, Fusion 360, AutoCAD)
  • Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and methodologies
  • Experience with prototyping and mechanical machines (CNC, laser cut and other handling tools)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials selection
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with product development processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality mechanical designs
