Principal Software Engineer

Vanta is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join their Platform group, which is central to enabling engineering excellence across the organization. This role will have significant impact across 6+ different teams, influencing all of Vanta's products and engineering initiatives. The position focuses on building shared product services, frontend components, design systems, backend infrastructure, and internal developer tooling.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and executing key engineering-wide strategic technical initiatives, while setting the standard for engineering excellence and culture. They will work with modern technologies including TypeScript, React, and Node.js to design and develop new product functionality and infrastructure.

Vanta's mission is to secure the internet and protect consumer data through continuous security monitoring and verification. The company, founded in 2018, has grown to serve thousands of companies with their Trust Management Platform, automating security monitoring for compliance standards like SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.

This is a remote position with the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US, with offices available in SF, NYC, Dublin, and Sydney.
