Senior Software Engineer, Vendor Risk Management

Vanta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Vendor Risk Management team. This role involves leading complex projects, mentoring engineers, and developing high-value products for customers. Vanta's mission is to secure the internet and protect consumer data through continuous security monitoring and verification.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Setting technical direction to enable product and infrastructure scaling
• Driving complex projects across the technical stack
• Mentoring the engineering team
• Leading projects with multiple stakeholders
• Supporting design reviews and helping engineers make trade-offs
• Developing and launching greenfield products
• Driving initiatives to improve operational posture and execution quality

The Vendor Risk Management team builds AI-powered security tools to help software buyers evaluate vendor security by inventorying vendors, prioritizing risk, automating security reviews, and remediating findings.

Requirements:

• At least 8 years of industry experience
• Strong product mindset and experience with product engineering or greenfield projects
• Experience with enterprise products
• Technical leadership roles for teams or complex projects
• Startup experience or work in an action-oriented environment
• Familiarity with TypeScript
• Interest in security or prior experience in the field
