Senior Data Engineer

Vantage is a cloud cost visibility and optimization platform, helping companies manage their cloud infrastructure costs. As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for owning and developing our large scale ingestion pipeline and query layer, which warehouses all of the cost data powering the core of the Vantage product. You'll work with Engineers to develop and scale data ingestion, transformation, and query layers to keep up with customer base growth and use case expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and operate a data processing platform handling billions of records monthly
• Develop and manage the query and data infrastructure critical to Vantage's core product
• Collaborate with founders on feature discovery, ideation, and delivery
• Work closely with Product and Engineers to understand and propose data processing solutions
• Ensure performance of the data processing platform stays ahead of rapid business growth

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree with 8+ years of professional experience
• 2+ years building and operating large-scale data platforms
• Experience with MPP databases (Clickhouse, Snowflake, Hive, etc.)
• Familiarity with big data technologies (Trino, Spark, Hadoop, Airflow, Kafka)
• Experience in reliability engineering, data quality, and incident management
