Senior Backend Engineer

Vapi is revolutionizing the voice AI landscape as Apple Intelligence and Google Gemini prepare to bring voice assistants to 4 billion people. We're building essential infrastructure to help developers bridge the gap between raw models and production-ready voice AI. Recently launched in March and secured Series A funding, we're a growing team of 17 people based in San Francisco.

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Vapi, you'll be instrumental in building our modular API-first architecture, working with real-time low-latency constraints. You'll own features end-to-end from customer requests to deployment, while helping shape our company culture. We're looking for someone who can not only handle complex technical challenges but also brings strong communication skills and entrepreneurial spirit.
