We're seeking a Senior SW/Test Engineer to join our innovative team in shaping the future of quantum technology. This role combines firmware and software development expertise to support R&D engineering in hardware verification and test system development for small-scale manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in embedded systems development, with experience in C, C++, and Python programming. You'll work on both system-level and embedded systems testing, developing code for Linux and bare metal ARM processors. The role requires comfort with laboratory work and hands-on experience with electronic test instrumentation.

Responsibilities For Senior SW Test Engineer
- Work with cross-functional team of physicists and engineers to advance in-house test and manufacturing capabilities
- Coordinate with R&D engineers to develop comprehensive plans for performance verification
- Lead software development projects to develop code on new platforms
- Develop verification plans, test procedures, and test environments
- Verify components and subsystems
- Assist with written procedures for assembly, test and QA
- Provide support to manufacturing by answering questions and resolving issues with test software
Requirements For Senior SW Test Engineer
- Bachelor's or Masters' degree in Science, Technology or Engineering (STEM)
- 5+ years of direct software engineering experience in C, C++ and Python
- Experience developing firmware for embedded processors
- Expertise in developing code and testing for embedded communications protocols
- Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation
- Experience using CASE tools for professional software development
- Experience using electronic test instrumentation
- Must be a U.S. Person (US citizen, permanent resident, or eligible refugee/asylee)
- Comfortable working in a laboratory environment
