Description For Security Engineer

Vectra, a leading innovator in AI-driven threat detection and response, is seeking a Security Engineer to join their pre-sales team. With 35 patents in AI-driven threat detection and strong industry recognition through MITRE D3FEND, Vectra offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of cybersecurity technology.

As a Security Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in bridging technical expertise with customer success. You'll partner closely with sales teams to guide prospects and customers through the technical aspects of Vectra's solutions, leading demonstrations and providing expert guidance. This role combines deep technical knowledge with customer-facing responsibilities, requiring both security expertise and strong communication skills.

The ideal candidate will bring a comprehensive understanding of security products, networking principles, and cloud security concepts. You'll need to demonstrate proficiency in various security domains, from CASB and EDR to cloud detection and response. The role requires business fluency in English and Italian, with Spanish being a valuable addition.

Responsibilities For Security Engineer

  • Partner with sales counterpart for pre-sales technical account management
  • Lead customers through demos and guides on Vectra products
  • Drive pre-sales related activities through deal closure
  • Maintain in-depth technical knowledge of Vectra product line
  • Collaborate with Product Management and R&D departments
  • Participate in POC, RFP/RFI, deployment review and forecast calls
  • Identify new opportunities through technical relationships with customers
  • Maintain knowledge of current security landscape
  • Travel as needed within region

Requirements For Security Engineer

Kubernetes
Linux
  • Deep understanding of security-focused product lines (CASB, EDR, SIEM)
  • Understanding of networking and L2 to L7 OSI layers
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Understanding of attacker progression (Red Team or Pentest)
  • Knowledge of SOC workflows and Incident Response methodologies
  • Knowledge of cloud security concepts (CSPM, CNAPP, CASB, ITDR)
  • Business proficiency in English and Italian (Spanish is a plus)
  • Experience in large account management
  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security, etc.) are a plus
