Technical Writer - Developer Experience

Veeva Systems is seeking a Developer Technical Writer with exceptional writing skills and solid technical competence to enhance the developer experience. This role is ideal for someone who is a developer at heart but has a passion for writing. The successful candidate will create high-quality, developer-focused content, including REST API, SDK, and SQL-like documentation. They will work closely with software engineers and product development teams to become a product expert and continuously improve existing documentation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Researching and creating developer-focused content
• Producing REST API, SDK, and SQL-like documentation
• Writing code examples in curl, JSON, and Java
• Maintaining consistent style, tone, and approach in documentation
• Collaborating with software engineers and product development teams

Requirements:

• 3+ years of technical writing experience for a developer audience
• Post-graduate degree in technical communication or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication and research skills
• Experience with editorial standards and style guides
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency in reading and incorporating sample code into documentation
• Experience with REST APIs, SQL, and/or SDKs
• Basic knowledge of Git, Markdown, REST APIs, SQL, HTML, and CSS
• Comfort working in the terminal and with code
