Lead Engineer (Ruby On Rails)

Velotio Technologies is seeking a Lead Engineer specializing in Ruby on Rails to join their team. As a certified Great Place to Work®, Velotio has provided full-stack product development for 325+ startups globally, focusing on cloud-native, data engineering, B2B SaaS, IoT & Machine Learning solutions. The ideal candidate will design, architect, and develop complex enterprise software and SaaS web applications using modern web stacks.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and building highly scalable, high-performance, responsive web applications
• Taking ownership of building, shipping, and maintaining core product features
• Collaborating with designers, engineers, founders, and product managers
• Mentoring team members and reviewing their work

The role requires 5+ years of production experience with Ruby on Rails, expertise in developing scalable SaaS apps, and proficiency in REST API implementations, database schema design, and both SQL & NoSQL databases. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in computer science fundamentals and software engineering best practices.
