Lead Engineer (Ruby On Rails)

Velotio Technologies is seeking a versatile Backend developer proficient in Web frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Elixir/Phoenix, and/or Django/Python. As a Lead Engineer (Ruby On Rails), you'll design, architect, and develop complex enterprise software and SaaS web applications using modern web stack.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and building highly scalable, high-performance, responsive web applications
• Taking full ownership of building, shipping, and maintaining core product features
• Translating requirements, designs, and wireframes into high-quality code
• Collaborating with designers, engineers, founders, and product managers
• Mentoring team members and reviewing their work

The ideal candidate should have:

• 5+ years of production experience with modern web frameworks, especially Ruby on Rails
• Experience in developing scalable/distributed SaaS apps
• Strong knowledge of REST API implementations, JSON handling, caching, sessions, and multi-threading
• Comfort with database schema design and leveraging SQL & NoSQL databases
• Experience with code quality practices and CI/CD
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices
