Velotio Technologies is seeking a Senior Cloud System Engineer to join their team of 400+ elite software engineers. This role involves developing and managing complex cloud infrastructure serving over 15,000 servers across 200+ platforms. The ideal candidate will architect and implement new OS platforms, streamline package management, and lead cloud server provisioning initiatives. Working with Coupa, you'll be responsible for system design, mentoring team members, and ensuring high-quality code delivery. The position requires extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), strong Linux expertise, and proficiency in automation tools and programming languages. Responsibilities For Senior Cloud System Engineer
- Develop platform serving as OS abstraction for 15,000+ servers across 200+ platforms
- Architect and implement new OS platforms for package installation and management
- Implement cloud server provisioning systems
- Participate in design review meetings
- Mentor operations engineers
- Perform code reviews
- Work with product development team on feature architecture
Requirements For Senior Cloud System Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of AWS/Azure Cloud image management
- Deep understanding of RHEL derivatives OS configuration and management
- Experience with Chef Cookbooks on Linux
- Experience with bash, go, python, or ruby programming
- Experience with git and CI/CD workflows in Github Actions/Jenkins
- 2+ years of production system administration and SRE experience
- Experience with agile methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with FIPS, CIS benchmarks, PCI, HIPPA compliance
- Experience with container images and Kubernetes deployment
- Experience building RPM packages
