Responsibilities For Senior Engineer (Data Engineer)
- Design and build scalable data infrastructure
- Build ETL/ELT pipelines and work with data infrastructure components
- Work with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Implement data quality monitoring systems
- Develop long-term data platform architecture strategy
- Establish and maintain operational excellence in data engineering
- Build test-driven development practices
- Contribute to design documents and engineering wiki
Requirements For Senior Engineer (Data Engineer)
- 4+ years of data engineering or equivalent knowledge and ability
- 4+ years software engineering or equivalent knowledge and ability
- Strong proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java
- Experience with databases (Object Store, Columnar, In-memory, Relational, etc.)
- Good understanding of star/snowflake schema designs
- Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Hive)
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Oozie, Azkaban, NiFi, Airbyte)
- Experience with batch and stream data processing
- Knowledge of best practices in developing scalable applications
- Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills
