Verinext is seeking a NOC Engineer for their Managed Services team in a 3rd shift role. The position focuses on providing proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution across IT infrastructure, specializing in Backup as a Service (BaaS) and Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) solutions. The role requires expertise in backup solutions like Commvault, Cohesity, and Veeam, plus disaster recovery solutions, particularly Zerto. Working overnight hours, the engineer will ensure 24/7 coverage, managing backup environments, resolving technical issues, and maintaining client relationships. The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of experience, strong technical skills, and excellent communication abilities. Responsibilities For NOC Engineer
- Provide end-to-end support for incidents within defined areas of responsibility
- Monitor and manage backup and disaster recovery environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backup failures, DR replication, and performance degradation
- Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues
- Proactively monitor the infrastructure and respond to alerts
- Collaborate with the Engineering team for escalations
- Work with clients to resolve issues and maintain relationships
- Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions
- Assist in infrastructure improvements and new service deployments
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
Requirements For NOC Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
- 2-3 years of experience in NOC or technical support role
- Experience with backup technologies (Commvault, Cohesity, Veeam)
- Experience with disaster recovery solutions, specifically Zerto
- Proficiency in networking concepts and troubleshooting
- Experience with VMware and Hyper-V
- Strong experience with Microsoft operating systems
- Experience with cloud platforms, including Azure
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
