Responsibilities For System Engineer II
- Lead and support infrastructure projects, including deployments, migrations, and upgrades
- On boarding, implementation, and optimization of backup and disaster recovery environments
- Collaborate with clients to assess and improve IT infrastructure
- Perform system performance assessments and recommend optimizations
- Work closely with Engineering teams to deploy new technologies
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers
- Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies
Requirements For System Engineer II
Linux
Python
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in technical support or engineering role
- Experience with backup technologies: Commvault, Cohesity, and Veeam
- Experience with disaster recovery solutions, specifically Zerto
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware and Hyper-V)
- Knowledge of cloud environments (Azure and AWS)
- Understanding of enterprise storage solutions
- Strong networking fundamentals
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills
