Responsibilities For Virtualization Engineer

  • Design, deploy, and support all aspects of VMware and Oracle KVM virtualization platforms
  • Monitor and maintain virtual environment's health, performance, and capacity
  • Develop automation scripts using Ansible, Python, and Shell
  • Perform daily operations support in 24x7 environment including system deployments and maintenance
  • Document processes, procedures, configurations, and deployment plans
  • Provide incident response and root cause analysis
  • Participate in team on-call rotation and planned weekend activities

Requirements For Virtualization Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of operations administration experience managing mission-critical systems
  • Red Hat Linux system administration experience in production environment
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with automation

  • Familiarity with networking protocols, system monitoring and performance tools
