Verkor, a pioneering company in digital manufacturing and Industry 5.0 within the battery production sector, is seeking a Process Control Engineer to join their Digital Operational Technology (OT) department. This role is crucial in shaping Verkor's digital manufacturing journey and ensuring the seamless integration of advanced process control systems.
As a Process Control Engineer, you will be at the forefront of validating and troubleshooting PLC and HMI programs, ensuring they comply with Digital OT systems. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining alignment with industry regulations, policies, and best practices. You'll play a key role in supporting the handover and coordination between various Automation teams, including Maintenance and Process Innovation.
Your responsibilities will span from designing process control architectures to implementing and configuring advanced systems using technologies such as PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMI, and Edge platforms. You'll be instrumental in testing and validating Automation/PLC implementations and their integration with critical OT systems like SCADA, Edge, BMS, MES, and Cloud services.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in process control engineering, with a strong background in communication protocols like MQTT, OPC UA, and Modbus. You should possess excellent problem-solving skills, adaptability to a multi-cultural environment, and a can-do attitude. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll be providing technical support and guidance to various team members.
