Description For Design Engineer

Vetcove is transforming the $50B+ animal health industry by modernizing how veterinary practices purchase supplies. As a Y Combinator and venture-backed growth stage company, we serve over 17,000 veterinary hospitals across all 50 states. We're seeking a Design Engineer to join our team, sitting at the intersection of design and engineering.

In this role, you'll be crucial in creating exceptional user experiences for both veterinarians and their furry patients. You'll work intimately with the design team from initial wireframes through final implementation, ensuring the highest level of polish across Vetcove's desktop and mobile applications. The ideal candidate combines strong React expertise with an eye for design, implementing complex interactions and maintaining pixel-perfect attention to detail.

You'll be part of a mission-driven team that's making a real difference in veterinary care delivery. The position offers competitive compensation ($100,000-$200,000/year), comprehensive benefits, and the flexibility of remote work. You'll have the opportunity to work with modern technologies while building features that help veterinary organizations spend more time giving care and less time managing supplies.

The role combines technical expertise with creative design thinking, making it perfect for someone who's passionate about both engineering and user experience. You'll be responsible for bringing Figma designs to life through reusable React components, implementing complex CSS interactions, and working closely with both design and engineering teams to create seamless user experiences.
