Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at Vetcove, you'll be a key member of our engineering team, responsible for supporting projects from conception to completion. This role involves plan formulation, creation, maintenance, and upgrade implementations across most of the technology stack. You'll contribute to core features of the Vetcove platform, ensuring we create intuitive and innovative products for our users.

We believe in a holistic approach, encouraging engineers to work on many areas of our technology stack. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with end users, handle large-scale infrastructure challenges, and everything in between. Some recent projects include building a real-time analytics platform, a dynamic advertising platform, and a mobile shopping experience using phone cameras.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Contributing to the conceptualization and feature documentation of new ideas and product enhancements
• Building and extending interactive React applications
• Adding good test coverage
• Building reusable components
• Implementing new features in React Native applications
• Working directly with the CTO and engineering team to evolve our platform and products

We're looking for candidates with:

• 2 years of professional software engineering experience
• High proficiency in at least one industry-common language
• Experience in building production applications in modern web frameworks
• Ability to design features around data models with accuracy, security, and performance in mind
• Experience working with databases and query optimization
• Fluency with JavaScript
• Good software testing habits
• Excellent communication skills
• Adaptability and ability to manage concurrent responsibilities
