Vidyard is seeking a Senior Security Developer to join their IT & Security team. Reporting to the Manager, IT & Security, this role will work primarily with the R&D organization to grow and shape Vidyard's security framework, as well as provide insight and collaboration during design and development processes. This new position is tailored for a candidate passionate about cybersecurity, secure coding, and secure development practices, with the opportunity to display leadership skills and mentor a team eager to grow and learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify gaps, develop best practices, and build trust
- Identify process gaps and champion necessary changes to enhance organizational security
- Evaluate and manage vulnerabilities, improving reporting and management processes
- Propose security-focused changes to the SDLC
- Own key areas within the Security team, including infrastructure alerts and security vulnerabilities
- Develop and implement engineering-related security policies and strategies
- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies
- Lead incident response and mentor staff through remediation efforts
- Monitor security access, detect anomalies, and instrument security tools
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity at a software development or SaaS company
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Strong understanding of cloud security, AWS, observability tooling, GDPR, and security automation
- Experience with mentorship and software development lifecycle
- Ability to solve ambiguous and challenging security problems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
