Responsibilities For Staff Software Developer
- Lead system design and architecture decisions for the core video platform
- Optimize and innovate within the video pipeline for encoding, playback, and hosting systems
- Solve complex embedded system challenges balancing quality, scalability, and speed
- Collaborate with Engineering Manager, Product Manager, and Designers
- Provide technical mentorship and support career growth
- Partner with other Staff Developers to lead engineering initiatives
- Introduce new tools, processes, and cutting-edge technologies
Requirements For Staff Software Developer
- 10+ years of experience building scalable web products
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to break down complex problems and understand tradeoffs
- Experience with Ruby on Rails, AWS, Node.js, Vue/React, TypeScript
- Knowledge of GraphQL, Redis, MySQL, and S3
- Experience with AI model integration
