BI Data Engineer

Volton Hellenic Energy SA is a Greek company dynamically active in Electricity Supply and Trading, Gas Energy Sector, and soon in Telecommunications. The company aims to build solid relationships with customers and become a leading multiservice provider. They are seeking a BI Data Engineer to join their growing Data Warehouse team in Athens. The role involves data discovery, extraction, pipeline development, transformation, cleansing, model design, requirements analysis, and data visualization. The position reports to the Data Warehouse Architect.

Responsibilities:

• Data discovery and extraction from multiple sources
• Development of data pipelines
• Data transformation and cleansing
• Data model design in collaboration with data architects
• Requirements analysis with business analysts
• Data analysis, visualization, and reporting

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• At least 2 years of related working experience
• Solid knowledge of SQL and data modeling techniques, preferably T-SQL
• Good knowledge of ETL process design, ideally SSIS
• Experience in Reporting and Data Visualization tools, ideally Power BI
• Knowledge of OLTP, Data Warehouse relational and multi-dimensional databases design
• Good command of at least one programming language (Python, Java, C#, etc.)
• Understanding of fundamental computer science knowledge
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
