As a Senior Back-end Engineer for Wizz, a social app for teens with 3 million monthly active users in the US and UK, you'll join a high-performing team of 20. Your role involves designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining highly-scalable backends, contributing to product shaping, best practices, and overall infrastructure.
The tech stack includes Node.js, Fastify, Socket.io, Firebase, MongoDB, Redis, and cloud services like GCP and AWS. You'll work in a microservice architecture using tools like GitHub Actions, Docker, and various CLI tools.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of back-end programming experience, proficiency in Node.js, expertise in GCP or AWS, and experience with high-traffic, distributed systems.
