Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Vortexa, founded to solve the information gap in the energy industry, uses satellite data and AI to provide real-time insights on global seaborne energy flows. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you'll join the Data Services Team, responsible for the developer platform and AWS infrastructure. Your role involves ensuring 100% uptime, availability, and fault-tolerance of platform components while optimizing AWS costs. You'll work with technologies like Kubernetes, Kubevela, Golang, Kafka, Opensearch, Airflow, and Athena. Key responsibilities include assessing current technologies, delivering optimal engineering experiences, standardizing technology stacks, and implementing the infrastructure roadmap. You'll provide a great developer experience, boost productivity, and automate operational knowledge. This role requires expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Terraform, and Go, with a focus on cloud-native application design and deployment. The ideal candidate is determined, excellent at troubleshooting, and has a "can-do" attitude. Experience with Airflow and data lakes (Parquet, Orc, Athena) is a plus.
