As a Senior / Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Waabi, you'll be at the heart of developing cutting-edge autonomy software. You'll work on various machine learning projects, implementing and improving ML training and inference pipelines, and iterating on models for enhanced performance. Your role will involve building the foundations of self-driving engineering, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and researchers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the development of next-generation autonomy software
- Implementing and optimizing ML training and inference pipelines
- Iterating on models for continuous improvement
- Building infrastructure, data pipelines, and tools to optimize deep learning model development
The ideal candidate will have:
- MS/PhD or Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of industry experience in Computer Science, Robotics, or related fields
- Strong coding skills in Python or C++
- Experience with production-quality software development
- Expertise in machine learning, including model deployment and productionization
- Cloud infrastructure experience
- Problem-solving skills using linear algebra, geometry, statistics & probability

Responsibilities For Senior / Staff Machine Learning Engineer
- Contribute and build self-driving engineering foundations
- Develop next generation autonomy software across machine learning projects
- Implement and improve machine learning training and inference pipelines
- Make iterations on the models for improvements
- Identify, propose and build infrastructure, data and computation pipelines, data storage strategies, common libraries and useful tools
Requirements For Senior / Staff Machine Learning Engineer
- MS/PhD or Bachelors degree with 4+ years of industry experience in Computer Science, Robotics or similar fields
- Solid coding proficiency in Python or C++
- Experience in production quality software development
- Experience in software architecture, system performance, latency and data flow
- Experience in Machine Learning
- Understanding of parallel machine learning training and model deployment
- Ability to productionize machine learning models
- Experience building software solutions on cloud infrastructure
- Ability to rapidly prototype and test new algorithms
- Solid problem solving skills using linear algebra, geometry, statistics & probability
