Description For Construction Engineer

Wade Trim, a company with nearly a century of experience in solving complex engineering challenges, is seeking a Construction Engineer to join their team in New York City. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a mid-level professional with a background in civil engineering and construction project experience.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and at least three years of experience in inspection and construction projects. Experience with heavy civil projects, such as pedestrian ramps and streets, is preferred, as is familiarity with New York City clients, particularly the Department of Design and Construction (DDC).

As a Construction Engineer at Wade Trim, you'll be responsible for acting as the on-site liaison between clients and the community, conducting field inspections, coordinating with contractors and the Engineer of Record, and maintaining detailed documentation of construction activities. You'll also play a crucial role in interpreting contract requirements, reviewing shop drawings, addressing field changes, and identifying potential project risks.

Wade Trim offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, short and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k) plan, performance bonuses, and an employee stock program. The company also provides various employee resource groups and programs, such as the Young Professionals Group, Women at Wade Trim, and initiatives focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The salary range for this position is $35 - $50 per hour, translating to an annual salary between $72,800 and $104,000 for full-time work. This competitive compensation, combined with the opportunity to work on significant infrastructure projects and contribute to the development of New York City, makes this an attractive position for motivated civil engineers looking to advance their careers.

Wade Trim's commitment to innovation is evident in their Office of Applied Technology (OAT), which focuses on implementing new technologies to enhance value for clients and positively impact communities. As an employee-owned company, Wade Trim fosters an ownership mindset that benefits their work approach, collaborative culture, and ability to deliver client solutions.

If you're passionate about civil engineering, enjoy working in a dynamic on-site environment, and are looking for a challenging and rewarding career with opportunities for growth and development, this Construction Engineer position at Wade Trim could be the perfect fit for you.
