Description For Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer

Wade Trim is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join their ICE team to improve infrastructure in their Flint or Bay City offices. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering and 0-3 years of experience. Responsibilities include designing various site development projects, obtaining jurisdictional approvals/permits, preparing design reports and construction plans, assisting with project management tasks, and maintaining excellent client relations.

Responsibilities For Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer

  • Design various site development projects including commercial, institutional, and residential plans
  • Obtain jurisdictional approvals/permits
  • Prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards
  • Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
  • Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
  • Monitor task budget and progress
  • Conduct on-site observations as needed
  • Maintain multiple project assignments
  • Verify field survey notes
  • Prepare project status and other reports
  • Assist Project Managers
  • Attend client, public, project and staff meetings
  • Attend seminars and/or training classes
  • Maintain excellent client relations
  • Maintain a safe working environment

Requirements For Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 0 to 3 years of related experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills
  • Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (preferred)
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation In Roads (preferred)
