WalkMe, the pioneer of the Digital Adoption Platform (DAP), is seeking an Algorithms Engineer to join their team in Tokyo. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that empowers businesses in the digital world. As an Algorithms Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into WalkMe's core products, localizing services for the Japanese market, and developing advanced algorithms for GUI perception.

You'll be part of a team developing WalkMe's revolutionary runtime engine, which is transforming the online experience for hundreds of millions of users. The role involves working with proprietary AI-based technology that understands and interacts with graphical user interfaces in real-time, similar to human interaction.

Key responsibilities include leading the full R&D lifecycle, from problem definition to deployment of innovative algorithmic solutions. You'll be engaged in fast-paced research while ensuring that solutions are production-ready and scalable. The role also involves analyzing large volumes of data to create and refine data-driven algorithms.

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about leading technology to the extreme, wants to make a significant impact, and desires to work with the industry's brightest talent. You'll be part of one of the fastest-growing and successful startups, reporting to the Director of R&D in Tel Aviv.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Computer Sciences or Engineering, native-level Japanese language skills, and upper business level English proficiency. Experience with modern web technologies, cloud architectures, and JavaScript runtime core concepts is highly valued. Familiarity with machine learning, natural language processing, and large language models is advantageous.

Responsibilities For Algorithms Engineer

  • Integrate the capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs) into Walkme's core products to enhance functionality and user experience
  • Localize to Japanese services and algorithms that have previously been verified in English, including algorithmic verification in both English and Japanese and in some cases make modifications to existing algorithmic flow or code base to support both languages
  • Develop and apply advanced algorithms to the exciting and rapidly evolving domain of GUI perception
  • Lead the full R&D lifecycle, including problem definition, research, design, implementation, verification and deployment of innovative algorithmic solutions and models for both client and server sides
  • Engage in fast-paced research while ensuring solutions are production-ready and scalable
  • Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data to create and refine data-driven algorithms

Requirements For Algorithms Engineer

JavaScript
  • Degree in Computer Sciences / Engineering
  • Native Japanese level – Must
  • Upper Business level English – Must
  • Proven hands-on experience with modern web technologies and cloud architectures
  • In-depth understanding of JavaScript runtime core concepts (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with algorithms in machine learning, natural language processing, and large language models (LLMs) (advantageous)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
