Application Security Engineer

WalkMe, the industry creator in digital adoption, is seeking an Application Security Engineer to join their Security Team. This role involves working directly with developers to identify application security issues throughout the development lifecycle. Responsibilities include performing design reviews, code reviews, and application security testing of the product, as well as providing guidance and training to developers on secure coding and implementation of security mechanisms.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform design reviews and assist in designing security elements within the product/feature
• Conduct application penetration tests against the product
• Work with developers on remediating discovered security issues and coordinate testing of new features
• Provide training and subject matter expertise to the development team
• Build tools to automate team's ongoing tasks

Required qualifications:

• Good understanding of web security concepts, standards, and best practices (e.g., OWASP Top 10, Authentication)
• Proven hands-on experience in application security penetration testing
• Familiarity with JavaScript/Node.js code
• Ability to work well with others
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
