Principal, Software Engineer – People.AI

Walmart's People.AI team is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to drive innovation in their AI and GenAI solutions. This role focuses on enhancing system observability, automation, and scalability for HR-focused AI applications. The team has developed sophisticated systems including a RAG-based knowledge Q&A system and next-generation agentic systems for HR automation.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Python, ML engineering, and cloud architectures to lead the development of robust AI solutions. They will work at the intersection of machine learning and software engineering, implementing MLOps best practices and ensuring the scalability of AI systems that serve Walmart's 2.2 million associates.
