This role involves developing critical platform capabilities using cutting-edge GenAI technologies and building reusable platform services that will impact 2.2M Walmart associates worldwide. The position requires expertise in both software engineering and machine learning, with a focus on GenAI applications. You'll work with microservices architecture, integrate various data structures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions. Responsibilities For Staff, Software Engineer - GenAI
- Contribute to design and development of platform features with microservices and event-driven architecture
- Uphold engineering and operational excellence standards
- Work cross-functionally with business, product, data science, and engineering teams
- Integrate various data structures using Cosmos DB, SQL Server, and GraphQL APIs
- Implement feature flags and CI/CD with automation
- Stay up to date with latest AI/ML technologies
- Collaborate with researchers and data scientists on GenAI applications
- Support production operations for critical applications
Requirements For Staff, Software Engineer - GenAI
- Strong expertise in React, React Native, Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, Python
- Proficiency with Cosmos DB, Graph DB, SQL Server, Kafka, and GraphQL
- Experience with Git version control
- Experience developing GenAI applications using Prompt Engineering, RAG
- Experience with feature flags and CI/CD automation
- Experience with large-scale data pipelines
- Strong programming skills using ML tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and 4 years experience, or 6 years experience
