Description For Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Warner Music Group (WMG) is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their innovative team. As a global leader in the music industry, WMG is building cutting-edge inference systems to better understand music consumption and provide actionable insights for business growth.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience building scaled ML systems, with strong ML and Data Science skills, and a passion for efficient, robust software development. You'll work closely with Data Scientists and engineering teams to design, implement, and launch ML systems that handle over 2TB of incoming data daily and a total corpus exceeding 20PB.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing a deep understanding of business problems and translating them into ML solutions
  • Designing and implementing scalable ML systems for rapid iteration and experimentation
  • Contributing to model building, evaluation, and launch
  • Ensuring maximum efficiency, quality, and reliability in a large-scale environment
  • Mentoring junior MLEs and Data Scientists
  • Collaborating with cross-functional partners to define project objectives

Requirements include excellent coding and system design skills, strong practical ML knowledge, high sense of ownership, and the ability to influence ML strategy. Experience with cloud computing (preferably AWS), Snowflake, and Databricks is highly valued.
