Description For AI Research Scientist

Wayve, founded in 2017, is at the forefront of Embodied AI technology development, creating innovative solutions for autonomous driving. We're seeking an experienced researcher to join our Vancouver team as a founding member, focusing on developing advanced AI software and foundation models for vehicle perception, understanding, and navigation.

Our mission is to create autonomy that propels the world forward through intelligent, mapless, and hardware-agnostic AI products designed for automakers. We're working on cutting-edge areas including foundation models for robotics, reinforcement learning, large language models, and planning with learned models.

As a key member of our diverse team, you'll tackle complex challenges in perception, prediction, planning, and control. You'll work with large-scale real-world driving data, architect models utilizing the latest advances in AI, and have the opportunity to contribute to top-tier academic conferences like NeurIPS, CVPR, and ICRA.

The role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of autonomous driving in a company that values innovation, collaboration, and impact. We provide a hybrid working environment, combining office time for innovation and culture with flexible remote work options. You'll be working alongside bright minds in the field, with support for continuous learning and development.

Our inclusive culture emphasizes diversity, respect, and the importance of each team member's contribution. We're looking for someone who embraces uncertainty, aims high while staying humble, and is passionate about creating safer, smarter autonomous driving solutions. Join us in solving some of the world's hardest problems and make your mark in the future of transportation technology.
