As a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer at Webflow, you'll play a key part in building robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure that powers our data operations. You will have the opportunity to optimize the performance of our data services and automate infrastructure management ensuring everything runs smoothly and reliably. Your expertise will be crucial in integrating and managing essential components like Kafka, Spark, and Airflow, providing a solid foundation for our data-driven products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provisioning and deploying infrastructure using Pulumi for Kafka, Spark, Airflow, Athena, and other critical systems on AWS.
  • Managing and maintaining clusters, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Configuring and managing VPCs, load balancers, and VPC endpoints for secure communication.
  • Managing IAM roles, applying security patches, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Designing and implementing high-availability solutions across multiple zones and regions.
  • Overseeing S3 data lake management and implementing caching strategies for efficient data retrieval.
  • Spearheading initiatives for optimizing performance and implementing failure recovery.
  • Developing services, tools, and automation to simplify infrastructure complexity.
  • Participating in engineering activities and mentoring team members.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a Data Infrastructure Engineer or in related roles, strong experience with data infrastructure components, proficiency with cloud services, and expertise in infrastructure as code tools. AWS certifications and knowledge of compliance standards are a plus.
