Webflow is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Applied AI team, focusing on building cutting-edge AI-powered features for their Website Experience Platform. This role combines traditional software engineering with modern AI/ML technologies, requiring expertise in both areas. The position offers a competitive salary range of $132,050 - $207,100 USD (or CAD 171,000 - 235,600 for Canadian locations), along with comprehensive benefits including equity, healthcare, and flexible PTO.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience and at least 1 year working with AI/ML technologies. They'll be responsible for developing and integrating AI solutions, working with large language models, and improving developer processes for AI applications. The role requires proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and a strong understanding of AI concepts like vector databases and RAG.
Working remotely from either the US or specific Canadian provinces (BC & ON), you'll collaborate with product managers, ML engineers, and designers to enhance Webflow's user experience through AI innovation. Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer, AI Products
- Stay up-to-date on AI/ML ecosystem advancements to assess their relevance to Webflow's product strategy
- Develop and integrate third-party AI APIs into the product's architecture
- Work closely with the product and design teams, owning and iterating on the solution together
- Improve developer processes for building LLM-powered applications
- Develop a deep understanding of our architecture and codebase
- Build and maintain tests and evaluation and monitoring of generative AI outputs
Requirements For Senior Software Engineer, AI Products
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack, product-focused software engineering
- 1+ years of hands-on experience building products that leverage AI/ML technologies
- Highly proficient in JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Experience with AI/ML concepts like large language models, vector databases, RAG, and prompt engineering
- Experience measuring and improving the quality of large language model outputs
- Strong problem-solving skills and debugging abilities
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Experience with prompt engineering and fine tuning
