As a Staff Backend Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of architecting, designing, and implementing scalable multi-tenant backend services and APIs. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js, MongoDB, GraphQL, and various AWS services. Your expertise will be crucial in leading projects that directly contribute to the team and engineering organization's deliverables.
This role goes beyond just backend development – it's a chance to make tangible contributions to the core of Webflow's business. You'll tackle complex system challenges, drive solutions from concept to production, and leverage your full-stack expertise. We're looking for someone with 7+ years of experience in developing and deploying web applications, with a proven track record of shipping code that solves business challenges. You should be proficient with Node.js, TypeScript, and Next.js, and have experience designing scalable services and APIs using Express.js and MongoDB. Your ability to debug production issues across complex, multi-service architectures will be invaluable.
In this role, you'll not only contribute technically but also play a crucial part in mentoring junior engineers, providing technical guidance, and driving best practices. Your strong collaboration and communication skills will be essential as you work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers in a cross-functional team environment.
