Description For Lead Platform Engineer

Wellhub (formerly Gympass) is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to join their Platform team in Brazil. This role is crucial in building and maintaining a global, secure, and efficient infrastructure that enables engineering teams to scale products autonomously. The position involves working with modern cloud-native technologies including Kubernetes, AWS, and various DevOps tools. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud services, Kubernetes, and software engineering, with the ability to solve complex problems and maintain high-availability systems. Responsibilities For Lead Platform Engineer

  • Build a global, secure, scalable, and cost-effective Cloud platform using Kubernetes in AWS
  • Develop and evolve Kubernetes operators and cloud-native automation
  • Build products and tools for engineering teams to manage cloud resources
  • Ensure security and compliance through DevSecOps integrations
  • Improve observability, reliability, and cost awareness
  • Support engineering teams with products and tools usage
  • Maintain CI/CD tools and services
  • Maintain high availability of Kubernetes clusters
  • Contribute to product documentation
  • Participate in standards definition and best practices
