Lead Software Engineer | GenAI

Wellhub (formerly Gympass) is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for their GenAI team in Brazil. This role focuses on leveraging advanced AI technologies to personalize user experiences, streamline operations, and optimize resources. The ideal candidate will work on generative AI development, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and API integrations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing generative AI-based applications
• Working with large language models (LLMs)
• Developing and optimizing RAG systems
• Designing and developing APIs for AI models and services
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Driving critical projects from architectural design to implementation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong skills in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies
• API development and integration experience
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese
• Experience with high scalable and distributed projects

Preferred qualifications:

• PhD in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with generative AI frameworks, large language models, and RAG technologies
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, data engineering, and machine learning frameworks
