Senior Backend Software Engineer I BASE

Wellhub (formerly Gympass) is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their BASE Focus Area, Tagus Partner Team, in Brazil. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical and challenging services that form the heart of Wellhub's business model.

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you'll be part of a team responsible for building a scalable platform to support millions of active users, clients, and partners worldwide. Your role will involve developing systems that provide flexibility for different commercial conditions and handling critical flows within the business model.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Participating in the development of critical and challenging services
2. Designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving services with a focus on performance, scalability, and resilience
3. Building integrations with 3rd party APIs and tools
4. Supporting and enhancing existing systems
5. Working in a collaborative and agile environment
6. Utilizing cutting-edge technologies and addressing edge cases on a global scale

The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience
• Experience in managing and mentoring multidisciplinary teams
• Expertise in architecting large-scale multi-tier web applications
• Experience with Cloud-based architectures (AWS / GCP)
• Proficiency in developing RESTful web services
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Go is a plus)
• Excellent communication skills in English
