Senior Backend Software Engineer | Anti-fraud

Wellhub (formerly Gympass) is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their Anti-fraud team in Brazil. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's anti-fraud systems.

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building Wellhub's anti-fraud system. You'll collaborate closely with multiple teams and data scientists to identify potential fraud vectors and determine appropriate actions. Your role involves creating a system that enables data scientists to develop rules and machine learning models for fraud detection and prevention.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Designing and implementing the anti-fraud system
2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify fraud vectors
3. Building a flexible system for rule creation and ML model integration
4. Directly impacting the health of Wellhub's marketplace and finances

The ideal candidate should have:

• Solid experience in designing and implementing medium to large-scale systems
• Proficiency in Go (preferred) or experience with Java, Kotlin, or Node.js
• Strong communication skills in English or Portuguese
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
• Experience with anti-fraud or anti-abuse systems (a plus)
