Senior Security Engineer | AppSec Team

Wellhub (formerly Gympass) is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their Information Security team in Brazil. As part of the Application Security team, you'll play a crucial role in securing applications throughout their lifecycle using engineering principles and automation.

Your responsibilities will include defining DevSecOps strategies, ensuring successful project deliveries, providing security practices throughout the software development process, and developing tools for collaboration between developers, security experts, and operations teams. You'll also be instrumental in sharing knowledge within the organization.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software development with expertise in security. Key requirements include experience with CI/CD pipelines, micro-services infrastructure, SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanners, and code review. Proficiency in modern programming languages (Java, Go, Python, etc.), knowledge of cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS), and familiarity with Linux, containers, and networking are essential. Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks like OWASP and Mitre's ATT&CK, as well as experience with Infrastructure as Code, are also important.
